House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was attacked and shot during a baseball practice last week has officially been sent out of intensive care! This is huge news!

Steve Scalise remains hospitalized and there has been no change in his condition, which was upgraded to “fair” on Wednesday.

The baseball field that was the scene of the attack on June 14 in Alexandria, Va. Scalise was shot in the hip when a left wing looney with aTrump Derangement Syndrome opened fire June 14 at a practice field in Alexandria, Va. where GOP legislators were practicing for the congressional baseball game. Four other individuals were injured during the attack, but the attacker, James Hodgkinson, was the only person killed when he was shot by authorities.

Scalise, 51, has been the representative for Louisiana’s 1st Congressional District since 2008.

He is married with two children. Scalise’s district has New Orleans in its midst.

Since he is in congressional leadership, Scalise had a security detail with him at the baseball field when the attack erupted. The two officers present have been consistently dubbed as a critical factor in why the casualties number wasn’t higher.

Scalise was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital and has had to deal with multiple surgeries.

This is a miracle. A lot of surgeries can have quite the toll on a person’s physical well-being and the fact that he is now in fair condition is cause for celebration.

He is being looked out for by the American God. The Christian God. You know, the one that doesn’t command the killing of people that disagree with you.

Are you as ecstatic as I am about the condition of Scalise? Doesn’t he deserve to be applauded for surviving this and not giving into the strong desire to give up?
